Opis
Red brick building built before 1893 for Maurycy Karstens, owner of construction companies in Warsaw.
In 1893 on the Karsten’s estate rose two houses for rent: brick villa Julia, then located on 19 Warszawska St. and a wooden building at 4 Kościelna St. In the early twentieth century estate passed into the ownership of chemist and master of the pharmacy Aleksander Kowalski, who founded the inhalatorium, hydropathic establishment and composition of the pharmacy. In the garden on the property he built another wooden building (23a Warszawska St.) and the mineral water pump-room "Motor".
At the beginning of the 20s Century villa belonged to the pediatrician Gotlieb Kremer, a doctor working in psychiatric hospital for the Jews "Zofiówka." From 1925 it housed the post and telegraph office, headed by Aleksander Kowalski. Around 1935 the old post office was moved to a villa "Cacko" and "Julia" has remained only a telegraph office. Corner of the property occupied kiosks and shops (now there is Stylowa restaurant.)
Despite the conservator guardianship, the villa remains in ruins.
This is the third (in it second mine) cache here. First nicram's (OP0618) was hidden in a pile of rubble at the entrance. Unfortunately, it disappeared, just like my hidden at the top of the tower (probably fell down). I put the new one, but already at the bottom, so everyone can find it.
In the tower is additional thing – certificate of its conquerors (on the window behind the brick). Entering the villa can be dangerous, but to find the cache you don't have to do it.
