Mozaika ceramiczna na ścianie Instytutu Matematycznego UWr powstała w roku 1971. Jej autorką jest urodzona w 1931 roku w Bydgoszczy mieszkanka Wrocławia, znana malarka i rzeźbiarka - Anna Szpakowska-Kujawska.

Mozaika jest nawiązaniem do serii „Czas zatrzymany”, w której ludzie unoszą się w powietrzu, a ich sylwetki tworzą wir.
