Mozaika powstała z ceramicznych kafli, które zostały ręcznie pomalowane i wypalone metodą tradycyjną. Została ufundowana przez Turcję, w celu uczczenia stosunków polsko-tureckich. Panorama Warszawy i Stambułu, choć artystycznie uproszczona, stworzyła niezwykle kolorowy obraz.
Dekoracja znajduje się przy Policji na w korytarzach Metro Politechnika.
