Oblazowa Rock

Welcome: D

"Oblazowa orOblazowa Rock - an isolated limestone rock Located in the town in the province Nowa Biala. Rises on the left bank of the Bialka river on height 670 m above sea level. Its relative height above the water in Bialka river is 53 m. Formally, is located in the Valley called mezoregion Kotlina Orawsko-Nowotarska, however, comes from the same rock mass which already belonged to the Pieniny Spiskie Kramnica located other side of the Bialka river. This massif was cut by Bialka river that has accomplished here is 100 m wide on the turn. Two separate rock rocks formed out of the gate on both sides of the Bialka river. Geologically it is part of the Pieninski Pas Skalkowy. Oblazowa is not only a great tourist attraction, but it has also the great importance of natural and scientific. Is made of white and red limestone and red marls. In the south-eastern slope of the there are two caves of the 3-meter height and depth to 10 m. In the southern slope of the cave is located Oblazowa in which discovered traces of prehistoric humans. The oldest of them middlepaleolit come from mustier cultures from 40 000 years. Unique character is preserved in very good condition the subject of mammoth tusk, believed to be the oldest boomerang in the world. Also found remains of cave lion, hyena cave, and other animals living in early iceage. Here also occurs a very interesting flora plants with large participation of a typical mountain plants, which were brought to the Bialka Tatrzanska river by water. At the top of Oblazowej discovered traces of Slavic outbreaks. At the foot, with the river there is a small Round rock, the hollow in her sail slot water Bialka. Large pastures on the east side Oblazowa see a lonely rock- it is Cisowa Rock.

The crucial distance between the Bialka andKramnica covered Oblazowa is legal protection as a nature reserve " Przelom Bialki pod Krempachami ".

We wanted toset up a box at the top of Oblazowej Rocks (of course welcome to climbing the mountain, if not from the south - the rocks, it is easier to road from north), but at the top was many of mugglers. In addition, we would not compelled to jump the rocks, because itmight be not very secure.

Lots of interesting information here (the oldest in the worldboomerang)

We recommend walking around the rock and observationsall kinds of creatures. First time in my life saw such cluster of frogs Also in the vicinity of the cave I noticed a dead snake, length about 20-30 cm in the copper-reddish spots similar to trout. We were looking in the atlas but did not find equivalent (unless it was a young uneducated art Coronella austriaca) Well, obviously not make photo :(

Added Trackable okT25 - Paula, Croc and sticker
