W celu odszukania fizycznego pojemnika należy załadować wykonany przez -Waldmeister- kartridż, który znajduje się tutaj do odtwarzacza (playera) Wherigo.

Drugim krokiem jest wpisanie trzech „magicznych” ciągów cyfr:

Szukanie fizycznego pojemnika polega na przemieszczaniu się w terenie i składaniu zapytań o odległość do niego.

Na tej podstawie należy wywnioskować położenie pojemnika.
