Olsztyńskie obserwatorium astronomiczne ulokowane zostało w wieży ciśnień z 1897 roku.

Otwarto je w 1979 roku. 

Prowadzone są w nim pokazy nieba. Można również obejrzeć z niego panoramę Olsztyna.
