Ich symbolem jest niewątpliwie sformowany w sierpniu 1940 roku w Wielkiej Brytanii 306. dywizjon myśliwski. W jego szeregach znaleźli się żołnierze słynnego 4. pułku lotniczego stacjonującego w czasach II RP w Toruniu
